Armenia is located in the southern part of the Caucasus region and is rich in mineral resources. Mining is one of the country’s pillar industries. Our client, a mining enterprise in Syunik Province in southern Armenia, mainly engages in the mining and primary processing of copper and molybdenum ore. With year-round operations at the mining site, massive dust is generated during blasting, crushing, screening, belt conveying, and other processes. This dust not only seriously endangers the health of on-site workers but also causes continuous pollution to the surrounding ecological environment.
Armenia has gradually tightened its environmental regulations in recent years, and the mineral resources authority has strengthened supervision over mine dust emissions year by year. The core problems faced by the client include excessive PM10 concentration around crushing stations and screening workshops, severe dust flying at open-air stockyards on windy days, and limited coverage plus huge water consumption of traditional water sprinklers.

Client Requirements: Long-Range, Wide-Coverage and Low-Water-Consumption Dust Suppression Solution
After in-depth preliminary communication, the client put forward the following specific requirements for dust suppression equipment:
1. Long spraying range and wide coverage
The mine working area is open, and dust sources are distributed in multiple zones, including crushing stations, screening workshops, belt transfer points, and open-air stockyards. Equipment with a spraying range of 40–60 meters is required for effective coverage.
2. Power supply compatible with local power grid
Armenia adopts 220V/50Hz single-phase power and 380V/50Hz three-phase power standards. The client clearly required the equipment to support 380V/50HZ three-phase power to ensure stable operation under the mine’s power distribution system.
3. Wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant nozzles with sufficient spare parts
Water for the mine is taken from nearby rivers and carries high sand content, which causes heavy wear on nozzles. The client stressed that nozzles must be durable, and extra spare parts should be supplied to avoid shutdowns caused by clogged or damaged nozzles.
4. Flexible operation with remote control
The mine works in a complex environment with high dust levels. The client hoped operators could control the machine remotely away from dusty zones to reduce exposure risks.
5. Reliable after-sales spare part support
Armenia is relatively remote, and international logistics take a long time. The client requested extra wearing parts to be delivered with the machine, including spare nozzles and seals, to guarantee long-term stable operation.

Product Recommendation: YG-40 and YG-60 Dust Control Water Cannon Perfectly Match Mine Demands
Based on the actual working conditions and dust control needs of the client’s mine, YG recommended two core models:
The YG-40 dust control water cannon — designed for fixed-point dust suppression around crushing stations and screening workshops. With a 40-meter spraying distance and a 4kW fan motor, it forms large-area fog curtains to effectively stop medium- and short-range dust spread.
The YG-60 dust control water cannon is used for large-scale dust suppression at open-air stockyards and belt conveying lines. It delivers a 60-meter spraying distance and comes with an 11kW fan motor.
Both models run on 380V/50HZ three-phase power, fully matching Armenia’s local grid standards. They are fitted with a 360° full horizontal rotation unit and an adjustable vertical pitching unit. Operators can flexibly adjust spraying angles and directions from over 50 meters away using a wireless remote controller, with no need for close-range operation.
The core working principle of the dust control water cannon: A high-pressure plunger pump pressurizes water and sends it to fine nozzles. When high-speed water hits internal obstacles inside the nozzle, it breaks into numerous micron-sized water droplets, forming a dense fog curtain the moment it sprays out of tiny nozzle holes. This atomization method produces extremely fine droplets that collide and combine well with suspended dust in the air, making dust settle quickly. Its dust removal efficiency is far higher than traditional water sprinkling.
In terms of structural configuration, YG’s fog cannon dust suppression equipment includes these key components: water tank, water pipes, plunger water pump, stainless steel nozzles, fan, generator set, horizontal rotation unit, vertical pitching unit, electric control box and wireless remote controller. The support frame uses galvanized pipes for good rust and corrosion resistance; the fan barrel guard is made of cold-rolled steel plate, sturdy and long-lasting; fan blades are aluminum alloy, lightweight, high-strength, and run smoothly.
It should be specially noted that all nozzles from YG are made of stainless steel. Since the mine water contains a lot of sand, nozzles count as wearing parts. YG will deliver an extra set of spare nozzles according to the client’s operating conditions, so worn nozzles can be replaced in time without delaying production. The machine can be used directly for pesticide spraying or disinfection without modification. If spraying disinfectant liquid, we suggest replacing the water pump with a ceramic pump to resist corrosion from chemical liquids.

Sales Process: From Initial Inquiry to Model Confirmation
The client found YG through Google searches for water cannon dust suppression. In the first conversation, the client sent on-site mine photos and dust distribution maps. YG’s technical team carried out a detailed working condition analysis based on this information.
During technical coordination, the client focused on these parameters:
- Voltage and frequency: Confirmed that YG equipment uses 380V/50HZ three-phase power, fully compatible with the power distribution system of Armenia’s mine
- Spraying range: YG-40 with a 40-meter range for workshop zones, YG-60 with a 60-meter range for stockyards
- Horizontal and vertical angles: 360° full horizontal rotation and adjustable vertical pitching angle to meet dust suppression needs for multi-level working faces
- Water and power consumption: High-pressure atomization saves around 50% water compared with traditional sprinklers, and the client approved this data
After three rounds of technical discussions and plan revisions, the client finally confirmed the purchase of one YG-40 unit and one YG-60 unit for dust control in different mine zones.
Order Completion & Delivery: Professional Packaging and Full-Logistics Support
Once the order was confirmed, YG arranged standard export packaging: each machine is packed in an independent wooden case, while precision accessories such as nozzles and remote controllers are packed separately for protection. Each shipment includes complete technical manuals, electrical wiring diagrams, remote control guides, and a full set of spare nozzles.
The dust suppression fog cannon is shipped by sea to Poti Port in Georgia, then transported by land to Armenia. The whole logistics cycle takes roughly 35 days. YG fully assisted the client with export customs documents, certificates of origin, and commodity inspection procedures to ensure smooth customs clearance.
After the machines arrived at the mine, YG’s technical team guided the client through installation and commissioning remotely via video, including electrical wiring, pump air bleeding, nozzle inspection, and remote controller pairing. The whole process took about 4 hours. Afterwards, systematic training was provided for the client’s operators, covering daily operation rules, nozzle replacement, pump maintenance, and troubleshooting of common faults.
Operation Results: Greatly Reduced Dust Concentration and Noticeably Improved Mine Environment
One month after the YG-40 and YG-60 were put into service (the data below comes from client feedback for reference only), the performance was remarkable:
- PM10 concentration around the crushing station dropped by about 70%, falling from excess levels to within the limits set by Armenia’s environmental regulations
- Dust flying at open-air stockyards on windy days was basically eliminated. The 60-meter range of the YG-60 plus 360° rotating coverage effectively suppresses surface dust on stockpiles
- Water consumption was cut by roughly 50% versus traditional sprinklers. High-pressure atomization achieves better dust suppression with less water
- Operators no longer need to work in high-dust zones. The remote controller works beyond 50 meters, protecting worker safety
- The machines ran continuously for two months without major breakdowns. Stainless steel nozzles worked stably under sandy water, and only one spare nozzle was replaced
